Inna and Francis 2011
Thanks for visiting my blog! The name “Innochka” (since I know many people have not heard of it before) is a Russian nickname for “Inna” that my family has called me my whole life.I’m a Midwest girl and have been married to my husband/food critic Francis since 2006. I am finishing medical school this spring and endeavoring on the next step of my medical career (aka my first job — residency!). I find cooking and baking a wonderful way to get away from the stresses of work and life and can often be found in the kitchen on weekends experimenting with new recipes.
I love spending time with family and friends and find them fairly reliable taste testers. I have five nieces who I absolutely adore. Also, I love traveling and have found that it has helped expand my knowledge of foods around the world. I have learned to cook through reading cookbooks and browsing on the internet so this blog is a good way to remember what recipes worked and what didn’t work out so well. One thing that should be noted here though is that I am not a food photographer, nor do I aspire to be one. I am photographing my food using a Lumix 10 megapixel point-and-shoot camera, which will only take me so far.
